This place is as good as it looks!
^Maroon Bells^ is a hike just outside of Aspen. It's one of the most famous hiking spots in the state of Colorado!
You can pay $10 for a bus ride up from Snowmass Village, then hike for as long as you can from the trailhead. You pass along some small lakes and waterfalls - we hiked by some Moose along the trail, do not get too close to Moose, they are very dangerous, so never bother them!
Tickets are $15 and you can stay forever, even in the dark starry night!
Today I hiked the Flat Irons in Boulder, Co. There are different routes that depart from Chautauqua Park, but I decided to do the Loop one. You can see the city of Boulder and the CU Boulder Campus area from afar -pretty darn cool! I did not see any bears this time, although it is known to be one of their favorite hang outs!
Difficulty Level: medium. It's kind of steep but nothing crazy. Stuff needed: - Good hiking boots. - Water - Sun glasses & Sunscreen - Not so much of a good idea to go once the sun is starting to go down, wildlife gets out to prey ;) |
